Clubs

Senior Secondary

“Clubs help children to learn and grow – all while having fun. It is the place where great futures are started each and every day.”

Club activities help students develop a sense of unity and teamwork, learning how to work with others in reaching the same goals. We at MCGS believe that learning can be made more enjoyable with the goal of improving their well-being.

Varied talents and interests of the students are nurtured and fostered under the auspices of our club activities. The integration of work and study is the key element at MCGS. All the students are obliged to gain practical experience in the course of their academic education. The concept of Clubs is seen as an opportunity for adaptation to life in the group, forming good life long habits and cultivating a voluntaristic spirit. Club activities supplement academics and give the students practical training which they require in day to day life. In the school various club activities are organized giving an opportunity to the students to display their talent.

The School believes that participation in extracurricular activities enables students to develop talents that may find little expression in the classroom. Extracurricular activities often require collaboration between students, rendering the process of involvement as important as the finished product

Vedic Maths

Do you dread the sight of numbers and signs? Or do you love learning and solving maths problems? Either way Vedic Maths is an ancient science of problem solving that has proven to be one of the most effective in strengthening your understanding of Mathematics. Today this concept has been recognised globally yet many Indians are unaware of this rich jewel that was passed on to us by our scholars. We are a land of veteran mathematicians such as Aryabhatta, Shakuntala Devi, C.R Rao to name a few. From finding the value of zero to solving complex maths problems mentally Indians have tactfully mastered Maths, giving us more reasons to borrow from our ancestral wisdom. Schools and institutes such as St. James London and IIT already swear by the easy and quick methods taught via Vedic Maths to save time on calculations.

What is Vedic Math?

As the name suggests Vedic math has been derived from our ancient Vedas. According to Vedic Maths, most math problems irrespective of their difficulty level can be solved in a foolproof manner using 16 word Sanskrit formulae or Sutras. Each of these Sutras help in strengthening our capacity to calculate mentally.
